Fang Yan is an early stage researcher for the ETN-Charming ERS 10 project. She will carry out research in making the transition from static assurance cases during design-time to executable assurance cases during run-time. This research will be conducted at University of York.
Fang has her bachelor degree in Electronic and Information Engineering at Civil Aviation University of China, and complete her master degree in Ecole National Superieur D’ingeneurs De Constructions Aeronautiques. After university, she worked as a lecturer in a university and had a 7 years part time experience of aviation certification in terms of system safety and software safety. She has her interest in safety methodology for autonomous systems, and chose to continue in academia and into this PhD.
